Visa application (Part III): How does it work?

By now you must think you know everything about applying for a Tier 4 student visa in Malaysia? Well, bear with us for one more post and you’re there but first, let us take you through the entire process so at every stage of the application, you know what to expect and spare yourself the unwanted surprises!

 

ONE To begin the process, you first need to go to the website here to fill out the visa application form, note that it must be completed in English only, book an appointment at your chosen visa application centre and pay the accurate amount of fee.

 

TWO After that, you can start putting together your application package with all the documents we mentioned in the previous blog post (if you haven’t see, please take a look here) that you will bring with you at the time of your appointment. Even though it is not listed, it should go without saying that you need to bring your passport, possibly other forms of identity proof and a passport size photo.

 

THREE Once you have all the paperwork together, all that’s left to do is to pay visit visa application centre a visit hand in your application and submit your biometric data and a possible brief interview.

 

FOUR If all goes to plan, this will be the end of the application process and you’re done! Yay! Now you can just sit back, relax and wait for your visa to turn up at your doorstep. The processing time is usually within three weeks and the visa will look something like this:

Any incorrect details must be reported to the centre immediately.

Quick word of warning: don’t get caught out by the British way of writing calendar date, which goes day/month/year so 08/09/16 means the eighth of September 2016 and NOT the ninth of August 2016. Regardless of how your native country does it, your UK visa will always comply with the British system.
